Rehabilitation Practitioner II –
Full-time (37.5 hours/week) middle management position working for a Peer Operated Agency, in a recovery-focused, rehabilitation program which serves with individuals who have a mental health condition. With the Program Manager, the RPII provides oversight and direction to front line staff as well as providing direct service to customers. Candidate will embrace and have a track record of demonstrating true recovery principles, which include but are not limited to: including promotion of social determinants of health, wellness, employment, natural relationships, community inclusion and connectedness, and inspiring real life recovery goals and while fostering independence. Candidate will have a strong desire to seek innovative, cutting-edge trends in the field, and incorporate them into the core of the program. Candidate will successfully promote and adhere to person-centered and trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing-based philosophies while promoting hands-on, community-based services and experiences.
The RPII will assist in: implementation of HCBS/CORE services and Recovery Center services, scheduling and facilitation of classes, development of individualized recovery goal plans, and role model recovery objectives, and will cover Program Manager’s absences. Successful and effective communication, supervisory responsibilities, and crisis management skills are crucial. Must be able to undertake a flexible schedule; evening, weekend, and some holiday hours required. This role ensures program fluidity from day-to-evening and weekend hours. Computer and documentation skills must be well-established, as data tracking and quality assurance is a key job responsibility.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human service field/rehab counseling or related fields; related work experience and familiarity with local services a plus. Seeking licensed/permitted/credentialed applicants. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Certified Peer Specialist applicants are preferred. Must have reliable transportation with clean NYS license.
