The successful candidates will be employed by RSI and work within one of EHS’s new multidisciplinary teams, designed to enhance the responsiveness and quality of intensive, integrated services for justice-involved and other individuals with complex needs. RSI is seeking candidates who can employ person-centered approaches in a genuine manner, use trauma informed care, are community-driven and able to provide flexible and creative support to meet the needs of those with mental illness.

The Peer Specialist: Work as an active member of a multidisciplinary ACT team providing advocacy and peer support for consumers. Provide hands on assistance with accessing services; identifying and overcoming barriers, linking to desired resources, services, or activities and support the transition. Documentation of services delivered required.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/G.E.D.; Identifies as a Peer (person with lived, personal experiences; a current or former recipient of mental health and/or substance use disorder services) and a willingness to be transparent about such; Completion of NYS Academy of Peer Services-Peer Specialist Certification within 6 months of employment. Vehicle preferred, minimally reliable transportation required; this position is highly mobile. Full and Part-time available. Competitive Salary.
