Rehab Practitioner

Rehabilitation Practitioner I –

A Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) position is available for working for a Peer Operated Agency, in a recovery-focused, rehabilitation program which serves with individuals who have a mental health condition. Candidate will embrace and have a track record of demonstrating true recovery principles, which include but are not limited to: promotion of health, wellness, employment, natural relationships, community inclusion, and inspiring real life recovery goals and reducing dependency. Responsibilities include successful execution of HCBS services, facilitation of classes, development of individualized recovery goal plans. Successful and effective communication and crisis management skills are crucial. A successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, possess the ability to think "out of the box", an upbeat, engaging personality, a strong desire to help people reach their potential and dreams and work well with a diverse population. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend hours, with some holiday hours. Computer and documentation skills must be well-established. Must have reliable transportation with a clean NYS license.

Minimum qualifications: Must qualify as a peer. NYS Certified Peer Specialist credentialed candidates preferred. Bachelor’s degree in human service field/rehab counseling or related fields preferred. Personal life experiences and other work experiences considered.
